Project of the permanent exhibition of Riga Motormuseum
2013

Riga Motormuseum has the largest collection of vehicles in the Baltics, which includes a great variety of means of transport, from tricycles to aeroplanes. The collection consists of valuable exhibits that tell about the beginnings of automobile industry; it also includes an extensive collection of automobiles from the 1920s through to the 1940s. A special place is allotted to a unique “Kremlin collection”, or the vehicles used by the leaders of the USSR.

Dd project designed an exhibition based on several principles: the highlights of the collection are clearly emphasized; modern media and technology enhance the experience of exhibits by making them part of captivating and diverse narratives; the exhibition creates an environment that allows visitors to learn about the scientific, aesthetic, social and historic meaning of each object.
